Definition

The stencil is aligned with the PCB, and solder paste is spread across it using a squeegee, filling the apertures and depositing paste onto the pads.
Working Principle
The stencil is placed over the PCB with precise alignment. Solder paste is applied to the top of the stencil and a squeegee moves across, forcing the paste through the apertures onto the PCB pads. The stencil is then removed, leaving a precise pattern of solder paste for component placement.
