Template Memory

Template Memory is a non-volatile memory module integrated into Data Formatter equipment, designed to store and retrieve standardized data templates used for formatting raw industrial data into structured outputs. It operates as a critical component in automated data processing systems, ensuring consistent formatting across production batches by maintaining template integrity and accessibility.

Template Memory functions by storing digital templates in flash memory cells, which retain data without power. When the Data Formatter receives raw input, it accesses these templates via a memory controller, applying the stored formatting rules (such as data structure, field mappings, and output specifications) to transform the input into the desired structured format. The memory uses error-correcting codes (ECC) to maintain data integrity and supports high-speed read operations for real-time processing.
