Definition
Blister packaging machines produce the familiar push-through packs for tablets, capsules, candies, and small hardware. A forming film, typically PVC, PVC/PVdC, or cold-form aluminum, is heated and formed into cavities, filled by feeders, then sealed with printed aluminum lidding foil, coded, perforated, and punched into finished blisters. Rotary-sealing machines suit mid speeds and quick changeover; flat-plate sealing gives better seal quality forhigh-barrier formats. Working Principle
The forming station heats the web and forms cavities with compressed air, plug assist, or matched molds; for cold-form aluminum, matched dies stretch the laminate without heat.
